Re: ASM44 - Hiding object with space key

So, with this test I'm unable to replicate the issue. Please note that Bernard19 is using links in the Assembly4 workbench. if you hide an object by selection in the 3D view with the Space key, this action will not be visible in the tree structure The first LMB click selects the edge or face in the...

Sheet Metal Circle Cutter

This project is an example of using sub-assemblies to simplify the top assembly. The parts were created with V0.22.0dev PartDesign and assembled with Assembly4 V0.50.7 from DIY plans found here: https://www.machineryplans.com/. The hand powered circle cutter can handle mild steel sheet metal within ...

Re: Using Assembly4 to rotate some Axis legs

Opencv still not found by assembly4 so I cant export. The results of this thread may be of some help: https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?p=727899#p727899 https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/releases/tag/0.21.1 I have the same problem with V0.21.2. I am currently using V0.22 weekly without any p...

Re: Using Assembly4 to rotate some Axis legs

I want to animate the two float variables at the same time. then export the animation. Like this? Or, express each variable as a function of time and then animate the time variable as suggested by Jolbas That would allow for more complex motion by way of conditional statements. Screenshot 2024-02-2...

Re: Importing Bodies onto an Assembly Master Sketch

Trouble is, it won't stay there! What have I mucked up here? You are the victim of 'sketch flipping' which is akin to TNP. The vertices and edges change numbering for certain crank angles which causes the LCS attachment to go haywire. So, you need to change how you constrain the sketch. walker1.gif...

Bernard19 wrote: Thu Feb 29, 2024 10:57 am how are the objects associated to create the animation? I don't see a formula. I'm trying to reproduce this but currently I can't get the rotation on the output shaft.
One way to approach it can be found here along with the files and the formulae: viewtopic.php?t=82787

yankee5.jpg yankee_example.gif ' See also further discussion: https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?p=745123#p745123 One caveat, if you change the camber in this model by the relative position of the ball joints then you will need a new expression for the lower A-arm rotation constraint. Such is ...

Re: Assembly4: An Alternative to a Mastersketch for 'Solving' an Assembly--Update #7

The following example is courtesy of Bernard19 who graciously has allowed me to use several of his beautiful suspension parts from his Yankee project found here: https://forum.freecad.org/viewtopic.php?p=742469#p742469. Bernard used a clever set of sketches to solve his assembly and this example tha...

Re: ASSEMBLY 4 - Differential - Progress

I reviewed your assembly file. Beautiful model. I can get the differential to work in a straight line and in turns... How to obtain one or the other case without modifying my variable/object associations. To demonstrate a differential you actually have four conditions to satisfy: 1. Both wheels turn...

They are quite useful for assembling imported .step objects or objects created with the Part workbench or for multiple objects that you want to keep together in the assembly.
