Re: Is FreeCAD the right CAD software for what I wanna do ?
Thank you for your answers, microelly2s nurbs editor could perhaps match my needs. I've installed it using the addons installer but at this time I can't launch any furnished example. Do I need to install other optional packages to try them ? I've simply tried to copy the python examples in the pyth...

Re: Perspective Viewport Properties
Note: * camera.heightAngle attribute is not listed in autocompleter, you have to type it in manually. This isn't the only place where it happens btw, but attributes of coin nodes are especially well hidden. They don't appear in dir(camera) and camera.__dict__. * angle is in radians. THX. All I need...

Re: Embedding or Embossing a logo onto a surface
I'll give 0.17 a shot, but for reference here's a link to my dropbox location with the example file. This isn't the final but close. What I'm trying to do is create this image embedded into the surface of another object. This is needed when printing 3d filament type prints if this is the bottom sur...

Re: TabBar
Hi triplus, Thanks for this fresh, interesting and new interface. I tested it and have some suggestion: * An option to turn all toolbars (outside tabbar) for all workbenches at the same off. I had to go through all wbs and turn toolbars (in selector menu... not sure ... Toolbars ->Off) * in Draft wb...

Hi,
Looks like the option heightAngle is no more accessible. Is there in the meantime something easier to change the viewangle directly in Freecad?

Thanks! Did not know that it also runs under 0.16. An additional reason to to like it !NormandC wrote: On FreeCAD 0.16 it's a macro that can be downloaded then run.

Re: Draft AutoGroup
I expected when I select 'None' that new elements are created in the root of my document. But they are not!? Are you sure? I just tested again here, when selecting "None", the toolbar button turns red again and new objects get created in the doc root as normally... Hi Yorik, Please see th...

Re: Parts -> Assembly and more
5) I can see there are some good modules available. Will these modules get part of FreeCad in future? Is there a more simple way of adding modules and features than installtion of each of them? Hi, If you are more interested in testing Freecad then you maybe give the development version a try. The ...
