Re: Stumped on combining objects
Willem Another thing learned - thank you. But I'm a bit confused: I can't find a "fuse" in the part workbench, and both "Union" and "Connect" result in a single item in the combo model but with the separate extrusions still selectable. Is this where I should be refining?

Stumped on combining objects
Hi all, I'm trying to draw up an object for injection moulding: it's based on two imported and extruded DXFs, which I've positioned in layers. But I can't seem to merge the 3 layers into a single object. I've tried Draft > Upgrade, Part > Union and Part > Join; the only one that gets a change is Par...

Thanks for your suggestions: I've learned a bit more about #D CAD. (Until 18 months ago, the last time I had drawn anything up was with a drawing board!

Another Under-constrained sketch
Hi all, I've seen so many of these in the board, but I have a quite simple sketch that I can't get to pad because it has two remaining degrees of freedom. I've tried: * Grabbing each vertex and trying to move it - nothing moves * Grabbing each element and trying to move it - nothing moves * Using th...

Thanks for the suggestion: that was a snap point for the 3D printed model, but your solution was obvious - once you thought of it for me. Thanks.

Flaky Draft > Upgrade
I'm having issues (again) with upgrading an imported SVG file so that I can extrude it. I create it in LibreCAD, and do one of the following: 1. import the DXF file into FreeCAD, run draft > upgrade twice to go from lines to wire to face, then run part > extrude. I get a hollow object, indicative of...
