Re: BIM/Dodo Framing Questions/Steel Sections
Hi @Maarten, I took some time to investigate this issue and the difference between objetcs Structure in FC and how beams are drawn in Revit. I found somewhat clarifying this . 1) Are these extra profiles useful in the arch-workbench(of dodo workbench)? Sure they are useful! 4) Are there more people ...

tutorial introducing Dodo
Hi All, I spent some time curing the details of Dodo WB and removing few bugs.
So I took the opportunity to make a new tutorial also to introduce few new features.
Hope it's usefull.

Re: Flamingo & Dodo workbench(s) discussion thread
Little update about the profile editor: now the dialog and its features are complete and looks like this: https://raw.githubusercontent.com/oddtopus/macros/master/sections/dialogSect.png I deem the tool quite usefull in general, so I also made a standalone version (maybe not fully up-to-date) that c...

Re: Flamingo & Dodo workbench(s) discussion thread
New entry for dodo: the profile editor. That's a dialog to insert few kinds of customized sections easily to use in your structures. It's compatible also with the Structure feature of the Arch workbench. It's still "work-in progress" since the Apply button and the section of profile's posi...

Re: Flamingo WB frame parametrici?

Dialog creator for 2D sections of beams
Hi, I started to work on the subject here , to include that in dodo wb later. At this time the dialog is already working: if you wish to try it, just copy the files of the folder in your macros path and then type import dialog4 in the python console. https://github.com/oddtopus/macros/sections/dialo...

Re: PI&D made with sketcher
Hi @ikua, I had another thought about this topic. Wouldn't it be simpler to draw a diagram from the assembly? I know that conceptually the P&ID comes before the actual layout of piping and instrument, but now-a-days one may draft directly the position of tanks, pumps, valve etc. in the available...

Re: Flamingo & Dodo workbench(s) discussion thread
Hi @vocx, in my slang I call pype the instance of classes defined in pipeFeatures.py. That's a shorthand to refer to those specific objects. For clarity sake pype = any FeaturePython that is derived from class pypeType() (parent of all pypes) pipe = a tube with circular hollow section, main material...
