Re: Align top with bottom
Thanks for reaching out, Chris! I would say that this issue exists regardless of the model, but the solutions may vary. A part milled from a rectangular piece of stock is one case. Cylindrical stock is another. Some parts can be held directly in a vise or chuck, others may need a fixture. Milling th...

Align top with bottom
Hello forum, When milling a not too complex part, I am thinking it would be natural to mill the top first, then flip it over and do the bottom and then be done. For this to work, the system needs to be touched off on the flipped part somewhere, but where? At this point, the unfinished stock is expos...

Re: Adaptive Path/CAM Operation
There definitely are. Not all tools are even able to plunge, like a face mill for instance. There is nothing in the center that can cut. Also of interest here is to have the cutting area overshoot the outer boundaries. Hard to explain, but imagine you were cutting this by hand. Then you would not on...

Re: Flycutter Facing
It is not a bug - just missing functionality. For now, we have to accept it. I think I have seen a feature request for that or something similar. If redefining the stock is not a good solution for you, you could create a helper object instead. In this case, just a slab with the necessary width to le...

Re: Ramp entry (helix) too steep
May be it:s possible to change the helicall ramp to respect the given angle to, or (in my mind the better) put in a vertikal stepdown from Save Height to the Start Depht before the first "cutting round". Yes, please! Not much point in moving in beautiful patterns as long as the machine is...
