Re: How to use laser on grbl machine?
Mind you, I was only talking about raster processing being a poor fit (but maybe I'm too scared of grayscale conversion and it's actually easy-ish? I remember having to fiddle with curves and channels and color modes quite a bit to get decent results while processing photos), the rest is already pos...

Re: How to use laser on grbl machine?
well, there is the laser cut interlocking workbench that generates boxes and kerf bends and stuff like that; I'm not sure the more image-heavy stuff like raster engraving is a good fit for freecad, that usually goes as a plug-in to a host program (I used lw.rasterizer when playing with this a few ye...

Re: How to move origin for mill Paths
when you open the job setup, you'll see the origin in the work area (in your case, the origin is in a corner of the stock), that is your work zero; also, what chrisb said

Re: Help: no dressup, no party.
... and here's a more parametric way to do it (just set the angle in the spreadsheet and everything auto-updates) - went for the simplest corner relief (equivalent to what dogbone calls "tbone short edge", I think)

Re: Path Wiki Pages (Status)
I added some usage instructions to Path Vcarve, hope they're okay (I also included how to massage svg imports to make them usable for Vcarve)

Re: OpenCamLib make error
I built ubuntu packages for myself and whoever wants to use them here https://launchpad.net/~iacobs/+archive/ubuntu/cnc - you only need python3-opencamlib (no idea how to go about getting them into the main freecad ppa, and someone suggested a long time ago I should submit a merge request for the up...

Simulator issues with deburr paths and the new toolbits
I came across this while testing the new toolbit changes at https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=51824&p=449078#p448985 and I was able to reproduce it in the latest freecad-daily: the gcode looks fine, as seen in this camotics screenshot testfile2-camotics-vbit.png ... but the s...

Re: Toolbits. SERIOUS EFFORT NEEDED
Ok. I haven't investigated it yet but if true it will be a bug in the deburr op, not the toolbit. Please consider starting a different thread so this can be addressed properly. while building a test piece for the new thread I discovered the default chamfer bit is not there; going to use the one in ...

Re: Toolbits. SERIOUS EFFORT NEEDED
I'm not sure what's going on here. Both numpy and pivy are used widely throughout FreeCAD. Strange, for some reason apt-get build-dep freecad-daily didn't install them, even if they're listed in build-depends; you're right, they are already in the package dependencies (edit: numpy isn't, but I gues...
