Re: Arch: problem moving doors

Hmm, zipping it seems to work! Anyway, if anyone is bored enough to take a look on their machine, would be much appreciated!

Arch: problem moving doors

Hi All, I'm having a problem moving a door on my model. I thought I could simply change the Y placement of the door (which initially looks ok), but when I hit enter, the whole garage geometry seems to change. I would like to move the door shown below 1 metre to the right: Door move shot 1.png But wh...

Re: Ridge tiles on roof...

Thanks! I might give your thought a go, as what I came up with in the end was not very "parametric"! This is what I did: - Using the draft workbench, I created a copy of the front face (in green below) and moved it forward, towards the camera. - Created a sketch that was a bit bigger than that face,...

Ridge tiles on roof...

Hi All, So, moving on with my modelling nicely now! I'm trying to find an elegant way of modelling the ridge tiles on the lower part of the roof - it's the red lines in the image below. The ridge tiles at the top of the main roof, and the roof of the porch were easy, I could just extrude a sketch fo...

Re: The graph is not a DAG

OK, yes, I think it's ok, as long as the sketch I am subtracting from the walls is not based on the walls themselves, but something earlier....

Thanks again!

Re: The graph is not a DAG

Thanks! Yes, now I think I can see the problem. I have based the volume that I am subtracting from the walls on a sketch based on the walls themselves (which I thought made sense, I wanted the roof subtraction to start 3m up from the bottom of the walls). I will try basing them on another face - alt...

The graph is not a DAG

Hi All, This may well be another issue that I rapidly figure out myself, but at the moment I can't see any way round it. I'm moving on with my design, at the moment modelling my house and I will add the garage once that is done. I've got as far as designing the base house, I've added the walls and s...

Toggle visibility on groups - bug?

Hi All, One thing I noticed: let's say I have a couple of different groups, for example "site" with my terrain, "walls" with the walls of my house and "roof" containing the roof (obviously!). The walls have an object subtracted from them so they match the contours of the roof. If I toggle the visibi...

Re: Error with arch remove tool

Doh! Answered my own question..... needed to use "command" (on mac) so that both pad and wall were selected at the same time..... obvious now I've made it work of course!

Error with arch remove tool

Hi All, For some reason, the arch remove tool seems to have stopped working. It's quite possible that it's something on my machine, or that I am doing something different to how I remembered doing it before (it was definitely working!). I get the output shown below... I get the same thing with the d...
