OSX Mojave - Grid

Hi All, After upgrading to the latest version of Mojave (10.14.6) I can't seem to get the grid working at all - any one else with the same issue? Same issue with earlier versions (even 0.18 ones), so I guess this is upgrade related. Thanks! Brutha OS: macOS Mojave (10.14) Word size of OS: 64-bit Wor...

Compiling on Mac failing

Hi All, I'm trying to compile the most recent master of Freecad on Mac using the instructions Vectronic kindly provided here: https://vectronic.io/posts/building-freecad-with-3dconnexion-support-on-macos-using-conda/ . It was previously working; I had a 0.19 version working nicely. But since I upgra...

Re: [Feature Request] 3d Mouse turntable option

Interesting you mention Blender - I can’t get it working with my spacenavigator in any kind of nice way! It works much much better in Freecad for me. All I want it to do is set it so that the various directions move the camera, e.g. twist to rotate, push left to move left and so on. But I can’t find...

Re: Bug? v.18 SpaceMouse now requires click in view

To another bit of info, on Mac the SpaceNavigator is unresponsive whenever of the other windows apart from the 3d port has focus (on the Mac, it gets a blue line around the window).

Re: Bug? v.18 SpaceMouse now requires click in view

To add another datapoint, there is the same behaviour on Mac in a 0.19 version I compiled myself (to allow SpaceMouse) support. OS: macOS 10.14 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.19.17469 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: 96b74022e3681c9e5bde88ea72ae9c412e25...

Re: SpaceBall rotation stops when focus leaves main display panel in v0.18

Yes, same behaviour for me with self compiled version as per Vectronic instructions: once you click into e.g. the project window, the space navigator stops responding. OS: macOS 10.14 Word size of OS: 64-bit Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.18.16110 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: (HEAD det...

Re: Freecad 0.18 on OSX 10.14.4 and Spacemouse - not recognised

Hi, yes, I have the normal 3Dconnexxion drivers, I don't believe that FreeCAD ever used the Spacenav stuff (edit: on OSX I mean, I think it used it for Linux!).

Re: Freecad 0.18 on OSX 10.14.4 and Spacemouse - not recognised

USB is the abbreviation of "Universal Serial Bus". so it support it. see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/USB Yes, I am sure you are correct there! But I suspect they intended to differentiate the two things on the Spacenav web page: Spacenavd (as of version 0.6) supports all USB 3Dconnexion 6dof devi...

Re: Freecad 0.18 on OSX 10.14.4 and Spacemouse - not recognised

Then I guess we should add libspnav to conda-forge. Shouldn't be too much trouble for linux/osx. Not sure about windows. I'm not sure that libspnav is an option for OSX - at least, I think it never used to be, since the homepage says it supports only serial spacenavs on OSX - and I guess most peopl...

Re: Freecad 0.18 on OSX 10.14.4 and Spacemouse - not recognised

I am not sure if we can bundle the 3dconnexion stuff into the conda-forge packages. Doesn't this have any influence on the license? I have no idea! I don't know what the situation has been up to now, I guess the OSX version has been compiled on a machine with those drivers for the last few years at...
