My guess is that HeeksCAD depends on oce while FreeCAD still depends on occ. Unfortunately, we still cannot move to oce because the package (on Launchpad) has some invalid dependencies which makes the FreeCAD package fail to build. And then there seems to be a problem when oce and occ are installed...

It's not crashing on loading/saving ANY file, it's crashing when loading/saving .STEP/.STP files, everything else is fine .
