Re: Macro to compute center of mass
just found that for multiple arrays or clones thereof there needs to be an additional patch around line 276: # Find the center of mass depending of the type of object. if hasattr(objs[sol], "CenterOfMass"): self.centerofmasses[sol] = objs[sol].CenterOfMass elif hasattr(objs[sol], "Sol...

Re: Macro to compute center of mass
Around line 300 this patch seems to work. But i'am not 100% certain. May be a professional could have a closer look at it. #2: an array is selected if hasattr(sel[sol], 'ArrayType'): if sel[sol].ArrayType == 'polar' and sel[sol].NumberPolar > 0: # self.centerofmasses[sol] = sel[sol].Center self.cent...

Re: Macro to compute center of mass
Thanks for this macro and i'am using it currently to get the COM of my VIIC. Two issues i did find though but maybe it is just me beeing to much oldschool and not OO compatible ... 1) There might be a bug within the polar array calculation. The macro does not step through the solids in the array but...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell
Deck cutting took about 4.5hours overall for 1mm finnboard. You might want to add max 10% spirit (ethyl alcohol; "Spiritus") to your resin. This ensures that the resin will not harden rock solid. The deck will be held in place by neodyn magnets. 15W Laser: Speed 500mm/min , 2 passes, Light...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell
Deck Layout (Directors Cut). First test sheets, on the right, resined and ok. Material will be 1mm Finnboard. But i do have to re-tyre my laser cutter. We do have a disagreement about "linear" or "straight". If that won't help i need to design me own one with linear bearings and ...

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell
Sharky shows its teeth ... on to the technical stuff. Hull will be beautified when everything else is in working conditions. Deck drawing for laser finished. Not sure which material to take. Maybe 1mm Balsa so i can encarve the planks and so on.

Re: VIIC 1:45 modell
Aft section with inlet build in. What is really cool is that the opening of the aft inlet do fall in line with the frames of the hull. Same should happen for the front body section. Adds some visual spice for close up looking. First sketch of the deck loosely attached to clarify sectioning and fix p...

Re: DO215 originated by Cesare Milani
ahh, these front, back, under, down confusion. Frankly i'am too stupid to make my mind up "do i look down on top of the paper, or do i sit in front of the paper ..." . Sure recipe to drive me nuts. Personally i prefer +X,+Y,+Z .... -Z viewing directions. But that's only me, who had been condi...
