Re: OpenCAMlib for Windows
That makes sense Gene. I'll back-burner this for the time-being then. That example shape is just a copy of what I've seen most examples, so I'm not really in need of making it--but, my guess is that using the FC-Path 3D pocket, and Outside Contour Cuts, you could probably get a decent job done... Be...

Re: Couple of potential bugs...
Just tried out latest fix, and looks very GOOD! Drilling and Helix operations are working for me again. The only thing that's currently "Off", and it's relatively minor, is that the raw GCode doesn't have the Dwell-Time implemented yet. Great improvements so far though! OS: Windows 10 Word...

Re: OpenCAMlib for Windows
Thanks Gene--appreciate your advice. I'll have to dig a bit harder and find our older VS.
I get the licensing issues, no complaints there.
Are you suggesting the utility added isn't something you use much because it's whole object, less controllable?
Best,
Josh

Re: OpenCAMlib for Windows
I was hoping for some help on this same topic. I compiled the ocl.pyd VisualStudio2017. I dropped ocl.pyd into Freecad-Path\MOD\Path\ folder for the version of FC I am currently using, but had no success. I also tried it in the C:\Users\........\AppData\Roaming\FreeCAD/Macro folder, and had no succe...

Re: Couple of potential bugs...
When I used Sheetcam with 2d CAD, drilling ops did allow a +/- tolerance--I think it defaulted to about 5-10%, then could be overwritten. I don't see it as particularly helpful, and since Path allows modification of the Tool settings in the Tool-Controller, it's just as easy to fake it out there. Or...

Re: Couple of potential bugs...
Drilling and Helix operations seem to have been disabled in latest updates. I no longer get any dialog for either Op now. Re: Version 0.17 release is near
My bad--after investigating that further, the issue is simply that the Q and R values specified in subsequent Modal Drill cycles is what is triggering the error in GWizard's Simulator/Editor. If I delete those in the GWizard editor, the Errors disappear. The Feed-Rate specified for each operation is...

Re: Version 0.17 release is near
Yesterday I noticed the Modal setting in the LinuxCNC.py Post-Processor, and it has a comment that states: # if true commands are suppressed if the same as previous line. I tried setting it to True and noticed when I used GWizard's simulation, the Error tab noted a bunch of issues that didn't make s...

Re: Vertical Feed rates in partially-vertical cuts
There is another option of course--allow for Ramp-Speed specification in the Tool-Controller or the RampEntry-Dressup. What it lacks in elegance, it makes up for in the broadness of it's application...

Re: Version 0.17 release is near
I was hitting Create Job Icon in Path-WB, but nothing was added in the Tree below Body for some reason. I turned FC off/on, couldn't get it, noted it, and then saw examples on this thread of people working on just such a simple thing, so tried again, and I can't reproduce--so, it's definitely on me;...
