Re: Compile appears to fail on Transient_TransferProcess
Now appears to compile correctly at git pull 0.21.31106. So whatever was changed at github between the 31104 to 31106 git pulls has fixed the noted issue. OS: Linux Mint 20.3 (X-Cinnamon/cinnamon2d) Word size of FreeCAD: 64-bit Version: 0.21.31106 (Git) Build type: Release Branch: master Hash: b44d7...

[fixed] Compile appears to fail on Transient_TransferProcess
Hi, Compile this evening appears to fail with errors present at end as shown below. Looks like class Transient_TransferProcess is involved. Had compiled successfully as is usual on earlier GIT Pull this morning. [ 86%] Automatic MOC and UIC for target SurfaceGui [ 86%] Built target FemGui_autogen [ ...

Re: BIM upon FC load fails to find handle - suggest classname error
Two points - ... Addon Manager is. It's not appropriately deleting the containing directory when it should. ... It's a minor error that shouldn't matter most of the time. Thanks for your reply. I suspect that the ./local/share folder does not have the correct rights for the AddOn manager to delete ...

BIM upon FC load fails to find handle - suggest classname error
Hi, Upon installing BIM addon via Addon manager, upon opening FC reports the following: 07:59:54 Init: Initializing /home/user5/.local/share/FreeCAD/Mod/BIM/./... done 07:59:54 Failed to get handle to BIM -- no icon can be generated, check classname in package.xml 07:59:54 Init: Initializing /home/u...

Re: [solved] Deflection result in FEM on a simply supported beam
Hi sorry, I'm trying to run a similar model and I can't seem to get my desired max deflection. Hi dinodano, Very rusty on this. Had a quick squiz yesterday at your model and calculations. I could not see any obvious reason for observed differences - I confirm your results. I did wonder why you appl...

FEM CCX_Results: Unexpected type error
Hi, have noticed an error from opening CCX_Results (dble click in tree to open) and selecting a displacement option to get the deflection. Dialog opens with selection at None. On changing to Displacement Magnitude or any of the XYZ displacement options, the following error repeatedly shows. 19:55:18...

[solved] Deflection result in FEM on a simply supported beam
Hi, as a FEM novice tried to model a simply supported beam. Length (span) 2900 mm, 150x50 mm on edge. (separately calculated, Ix = 14062500 mm4, Sx = 187500 mm3) C24 Timber Wood material using average MoE E of 10.8GPa. 450 kg/m3 density (self-weight not constrained for this test) Fixed constraints o...
