FreeCAD does not load IFC file from a BIMServer revision
Hi, I'm using the Web Tools workbench that connects to my local BimServer instance. The ifc files that I export from FreeCAD to the BIM server load without problems, but when I click on a revision that I have already uploaded and click on the Open button, FreeCAD asks me where to save the file but n...

Timeline based on change history
Hello, a very important feature would be to add a timeline with icons based on the operation history, as it could help detect where and when certain features were modified. This could be part of a workbench or a macro. I don't know if it is already done, but it would be important to know if it alrea...

FreeCAD closes unexpectedly when I remove the texture [Arch Texture]
Hi, when I try to remove the texture from TextureConfig, FreeCAD closes unexpectedly. Steps: 1) I open the FreeCAD file. 2) Double click on TextureConfig. 3) Select all the value of Texture and delete it. 4) Click Ok in the TextureConfig dialog. FreeCAD is closed by throwing the following error. Att...

Re: New Raytracing Workbench for POV-Ray
Currently this is not supported, but the HDRI tab is nearly finished and I think, this is an important feature; I will add this soon :) Please let us know when you publish it. On the other hand it would be interesting if in the future you support the material and multi-material properties of FreeCA...

Re: New Raytracing Workbench for POV-Ray
Hi, since FreeCAD objects support materials and textures through the Arch texture workbench, I would like to know if this workbench allows exporting such texture already configured in the object. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njp61PWWotE
Thanks

Re: Parametric modelled Vs Direct modelled Vs Synchronous technology
Very interesting is the example of direct editing. It would be appropriate to have some workbench to design pieces under direct editing. I think that combining part, draft could be achieved. I hope there are several interested in this type of modeling.

Parametric modelled Vs Direct modelled Vs Synchronous technology
Hi, let me open a discussion on 3D modeling technologies. Parametric modeling has long been the forerunner of several programs used in the industry. But I have been looking at some sites and researching about other modeling techniques or technologies and it seems to me that parametric modeling as we...

Here is a free application to test https://deepnest.io/ maybe its source code could be useful to improve freecad. See https://github.com/Jack000/Deepnest/tree/master/main

Re: Organize various cuts in sheet [Arch Nest]
If I've noticed it's been a while since it's been updated. I'm sure there must be several algorithms out there, even for organizing 3D objects in 3D spaces, like boxes in a container that travel on ships. Hopefully this task will be taken up again for algorithm improvements, I think it's very import...
