Re: Swedish translation
Man you like to complicate things. Why not an online image sharing service like HostingPics.net or ImageShack.us? Rapidshare? Really ? :P Good idea translating this picture (thinking of a bunch of others too), I'll do that as well and see if I have the same upload problem. Edit: silly me, just thoug...

Re: old new questions and introduction
Hi Gaia, Welcome here. You'll notice that there is a new German sub-forum, as you may know the two main developpers Jürgen and Werner are in Germany too. There is no wiki translation started yet in German, to my knowledge. I'm contributing to the French translation and find it is a good way to get t...

Re: Swedish translation
Thanks, Yorik. Sure it's a bit annoying, but if it's the best solution we have for now, I don't mind doing that. The alternative is of course to not create dummy redirect pages and stay with the English name/fr or /se scheme, I guess it'll be up to the translators to decide. Maybe we could put that ...

Re: Error building debian package on Ubuntu 10.04
Since for every Debian or Ubuntu version there are slight differences between the debian files you shouldn't use the files you find inside the debian folder but make a source tarball (with make dist) and unpack this into a different folder. Then apply the corresponding .diff file you find inside de...

Re: STEP import/large model performance
OK know what guys: the problem with surfaces and parts duplication may not be FreeCAD's fault. In Solid Edge ST I just converted my model to ACIS to import it in Mechanical Desktop 2008, then export to STEP (I know, my boss still uses that antique thing, don't let the year fool you, MDT has been dea...

STEP import/large model performance
Hey guys, tried a few searches on the subject but the forum kept denying me results because the search words "import STEP format" were too common. Anyway, that's something that would be waaaaaay down on the wishlist until more functionality is added (which is why I haven't created a...

Re: How to erase de back color
This of course doesn't affect the stored colors in your user configuration file. In order to change to the new colors go to Tools > Edit parameters. Then on the left tree view go to BaseApp > Preferences > View. On the right side select the entries BackgroundColor2 and BackgroundColor3 and delete t...

Re: How to erase de back color
Hi Juan, When you quote someone else, you can use the Quote tags using the button over the edit window. It's easier to see who wrote what. I don´t understand the way to change the background color after save the .png file because when I save it doesn´t ask me anything. To save a picture as PNG with ...

Re: Help on templates
Thanks Werner, I didn't think of looking into the Property editor. :) @ Yorik: so far I've only used the Drawing module tools to create views of a 3D object. I quickly tried the Draft PutOnSheet command, thanks that's a way to directly get the template I want. On a side note, it looks to me like all...
