Amazing!!!! I'm facing issue while adding profile, rough and part off operation to model body and getting following error. Please help me to resolve this issue. Re: Feeds and Speeds Addon
Small tools, such as the 3 mm tools often seen in examples here in the forum, will almost certainly need smaller chiploads. For example, FS Wizard calls for a chipload per tooth of 0.01 mm in steel. I will look at adding additional chiploads. The intention was to eventually add tool deflection calc...

Re: Feeds and Speeds Addon
Good afternoon. I tried to run the calculator - it partially works. But it does not respond to the selected tool and does not allow to change the tool diameter in manual mode. How to fix it? Please can you share your FreeCAD file and version info? Note the calculator won't work with legacy tools as...

Re: Feeds and Speeds Addon
This is excellent feedback, thank you for taking the time to do this. Great work. Intuitive, easy to use for a complete beginner. Fantastic! This tool is most useful to less experienced machinists so that is great news. Why is the minimum chipload set at 0.0200? Is that set elsewhere, or an arbitrar...

Is this any use:thomas-huber wrote: ↑Thu Jan 27, 2022 10:16 am It feels a like a hack, and it will not work if Job is named to something else, but it will do the trick for me.

Re: "Feed and Speed Calculator addon" integration & update including scripted creation of ToolControllers
I will have a look at possible ways to handle the tool type (Endmill, drill, lathe), and also what options might be available to handle Tool material (HSS, Carbide), and also displaying imperial units, then discuss with you. Tool material is included in the toolbit definition. toolmaterial.png I th...

Re: "Feed and Speed Calculator addon" integration & update including scripted creation of ToolControllers
the TC 'knows' what kind of tool it has and can tell the calculator which type of calculation it wants done. I can see the TC 'knows' which tool, but what not kind of tool, ie Endmill or Drill or Lathe? Reviewing both the ToolController and Tool default fields and does not show any reference to a T...
