Re: ESC button in Sketch
So maybe it is possible to open a feature request to make this behaviour configurable by the user?

Re: ESC button in Sketch
Ctrl+q is closing app Ctrl+w is closing file Sorry, you are right! Is ctrl+Esc used as short cut by default? Just like ctrl+p or so... I prefer the ctrl key above the shift key!! I don't know why, but ctrl+ESC opens the windows start menù. There is a configuration tool for shortcuts in Tools -> Cus...

Re: ESC button in Sketch
I am one of the Mac users who use the Esc key instead of right mouse button, because the Qt5 version always zooms on RMB. So I'm not voting against it, but there are use cases where it is sensible to leave Sketcher on ESC key: If instead of the Task panel the Tree is shown, then it is well possible...

ESC button in Sketch
Hello. I would talk about the behaviour of the ESC button using sketch. If a sketch tool is active (line, for example), the ESC button gets the deactivation of the tool, and this is right for sure. But if no tool is active, the ESC button exit the sketch. Personally I think that this last behaviour ...

Re: Feature to work with surfaces
I know, but mine was an idea for a new feature request. The workflow could be much easier and powerful with surfaces by sketchmicroelly2 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2017 12:41 pm I think this kind of cutting is not possible at the moment.
You have to make a difference of two solids.

Re: Feature to work with surfaces
To better explain i add a couple of screenshots. I made a spline closed by a straight line and made a pad of this sketch emulating a non planar surface, then in the other plane I have sketched a circle and made a pad until the surface generated by the spline. Re: Feature to work with surfaces
I'm not sure in this ... I had the idea that Part workbench is stronger in surface modeling. You can check that maybe it worked out. maybe even there are some additions needed... I'm sure there are yet some convenient way to make surfaces. Anyway, the idea is to make surfaces starting from a sketch...

Feature request to work with surfaces
Hello! I would like to propose a little idea to make easier some work in Freecad. Surfaces are very powerful to work with complex shapes. For example in some other CAD it is very fast to create feature extruding a sketch until a surface (also a non planar surface). A very simple way to create useful...
