The dressup needs an overhaul. Many of the others ( like tag ) separate gui and app logic. Also, modularizing the logic so the important bits can be covered by unit tests.
It's a process though and your changes are very much appreciated.

Re: Unified Assembly Workbench
Yes, it's active.
Progress best followed on the GitHub project: https://github.com/orgs/FreeCAD/projects/7
The development build has the merged code. That's not useful yet because getting the solver to work on your machine is still a manual process.

Re: Rework LeadInOutDressup
Thanks!! I'll take a look at this this weekend.
If you're interested in digging in deeper, I started a major rework of it a while ago.
My code is rebased on master and available here

Re: Shop Floor Instructions
In my opinion, and in my own words... I threw it into a google doc and set sharing so anyone with the link can comment. It's your document so I'll transfer ownershipt to you if you want. The Google document makes it easier to have a conversation though. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1VpCQjJtNX...

Standardizing the status bar
I've proposed some changes to the Style Guide for use of the status bar. It would be good to see a broader discussion about how the status bar is used. Please feel free to comment on the PR and I'll try to incorporate reasonable suggestions. https://github.com/FreeCAD/DevelopersHandbook/pull/65 2023...

Re: prevent path from returning to origin between operations
Try it with the LinuxCNC post. That's the reference post processor and most well maintained. I tried and did not see return to zero commands.
If it doesn't happen there, then it's a bug with the grbl post.

Re: prevent path from returning to origin between operations
The backplot visualization is showing each of the profiles as a separate unit. When you post-process they are combined. Check your gcode, it shouldn't be returning to origin between operations.

Re: Shop Floor Instructions
I've seen quite a variety of auto-generated Setup Notes from different CAM systems, and I've composed lots of them by hand. So I have a pretty good idea of what Machinists get/want/need. I'm pretty new with FreeCAD, but I'm actually cutting parts now. But, I'm not brave enough to try to figure out ...

Re: Github requiring personal device ID.
As i asid, that is not the question. And as is said again, i can not work that way. (no fixed hardware, no fixed IP, no standard devices, and as a said, no real 2FA (with 2FA i mean real two individual password factors)). If you have no answer then please do not try to convince me. edit: typo The f...
