Re: Center Geometry on Axis Center

You can use the Part Compund function. A Compund builds a new object with the origin in the global center if you want an other center for your part move it in space so that the new center is the in the global origin (axis cross) and create a small helper object. select both objects and execute Part ...

Re: Another step toward Sheet-Metal

So in FreeCAD there could be a Python-Feature in the tree-view representing a bend. It has properties like bend-angle, radius, (up- or down bend?), k-factor automatically or manually or FEM-based?, related sketch and folding state. Another type of Python-Feature in the tree-view would represent a f...

Re: Animation framework

That swept volume, perhaps it can be a goal of the far future to be able to save it as a separate file and/or part? The filler and slicer is not to far from this requirement. At the moment I make a photo of each animation step but I can export the slice or the fill to separte files. But what will y...

Re: Animation framework

Would you by any chance include a function for making swept volumes? Something similar to this: http://youtu.be/69RmZzOi2zY animated sweep with a scaler: http://youtu.be/_Bq_0qlfSHA filler and slicer: http://youtu.be/qT8u7NjSZ4c Perhaps even speed curves and acceleration curves per component and/or...

Re: Animation framework

Hello FreeCADers, After a stabilizing period of about two month I want to go the next step with the animation workbench. As I mentioned earlier I want a graphical interface to manage the logic without extra programming knowledge. The sverchok gui from blender is a good example but there is a lot to ...

I have inspected your first code to create a folded object. This program can already become animatable. ;)
