Re: TechDraw workbench - labeling parts of an assembly

But there is a problem. I already have a ISO compatible spreadsheet in my TechDraw template and I would love to do this withouth inserting another spreadsheet... I need to use mine which is formatted the way I need it to be.

TechDraw workbench - labeling parts of an assembly

I've finished working on an assembly, and am trying to create 2D drawings using TechDraw workbench. The first drawing was suppose to show the reader all of the components of an assembly. So how could I label all the components in an assembly in a way shown in a 2D attached drawing?

Extra nice TechDraw templates - they need textboxes with wrapping

I have prepared some extra nice Freecad templates. In order to perfect the templates I would need to know if it is possible to create (in Inkscape) a TechDraw template with a textbox that has text wrapping enabled ? Text wrapping is such a basic text thing that needs to be implemented in templates a...

Re: I get holes in a solid object after sweeping

No, if you have problems just make sure that the helix doesn't start or end at the seam of the bolt blank. This doesn't work. I tried it like this and I still get empty space after I do a boolean cut... http://shrani.si/f/p/mm/u9Ee5Z/helix-problem.png You can see that neither helix and neither swep...

Re: I get holes in a solid object after sweeping

Thank you very much. So I guess until this is resolved in OCC I have to avoid using helix for making screws.

Could you explain this a bit more? I can't seem to interpret it. :)

Re: I get holes in a solid object after sweeping

Hi, did you add the macro Force recompute to your freecad from this page https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Macro_ForceRecompute. I did install the macro now but if I just use it to redraw my model I still get holes in my model. Hi, did you add the macro Force recompute to your freecad from this page ...

Re: I get holes in a solid object after sweeping

Hi! Recomputing the last cut in this freecad version repairs the hole. ... You can try rotating the sweep by a few degrees. It will move the terminations off seam edge, and it may help. Hey I tried to recompute the drawing using this method: https://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/Std_Refresh but it didn't...

I get holes in a solid object after sweeping

I have been learning FreeCAD using online Youtube tutorials and I am currently stuck for the first time. In this tutorial https://youtu.be/tDg9tXB_7hg?t=29m45s author of the videos sweeps a triangular sketch along a helix and gets a nice screw (it starts at 29:45 ) while I get holes in my screw: htt...
