Re: BOM (Bill Of Materials) function

1) Organizing things "by assembly" requires that a BOM script will be able to know which object depends on which assembly. That pretty much restricts things to a strict structure like PartDesign bodies, for example. If you model some loose things with other workbenches, or choose to "...

Re: AdmiralKew's Science Fiction Mechanisms and WIPs

Nice work. I really like your concept development style. I got into engineering to a great extent because of sci-fi comic books. Herge's blueprints for a lunar rocket (Objectif Lune 1950) told my 5 year old self: 'this is what you want to do with your life'. your questions: 1 - add on module Assembl...

Re: Nester

very nice.
we can already 'pre-pad' the shapes to account for cut width, but do you have any plans to include an adjustable spacing between the parts and the edges?

Re: BOM (Bill Of Materials) function

In the context of mechanical assemblies, there is a generally accepted core concept for the BOM. It is the list of parts and associated quantities at the level of the assembly in question. Tabulating raw materials is kept separate ( bags of cement, feet of steel square tubing, blocks of aluminum bil...

Re: 0.17 - StartPoint and EndPoint

Thanks again Werner. I bookmarked Roman's article, since I don't have time to get too deep into the details now. Right now all my scripts control surface orientations by strict requirements on selection order, but some day i want to allow all relevant objects to be selected in any order. It looks li...

last post i swear...but i really love these tools.

double combs for UV overlay and manual scale mapping to connect the combs patch to patch.

And thanks again for the Zebra! that thing is sick. and dangerously hypnotic.

Sure enough, Zebra finds the flaws. Getting close though.

Re: Curves workbench

Hi Chris, i just found out by accident that found out by accident that the Comb tool works on Surfaces, not just curves. this is really awesome! i have a little problem though. With curve, i can match the scales and the combs will 'click' together when the curve is G2. with the surfaces, even settin...
