I can not find any of these materials in the database, could they be backported to 0.18.2?
Wonder if the FEM workbench could do some optimization on the overhangs?

When deciphering commit messages the "what" question is often answered, but the "why question" is often still up in the air for me.

Thanks! That's not a bad idea. But culling the activities for the week (feature requests / bug squashes) seems a bit daunting to me ATM. I see that http://libregraphicsworld.org has gotten back up with weekly updates after being a bit irregular. Might it be a good idea to sync updates as a weekly recap, that news sites like this can reference and follow?
