Re: Version 0.17 release is near
@cahlfors Did you realy select tool 2? I don't se it the Job and it is not selected on the tooltable. If i just click "surface" i got the same output first, but after setting the hights and depths to the right values i got a proper path for the face.box.jpg 1 No, I selected tool #1 on the...

Re: Version 0.17 release is near
I tried to select tool #2 with the same result. Here is tool #1 again, this time with a pocket operation. Same result: Markering_017.png As can be seen, none of the tools in the table is 5mm. I may be able to duplicate point 3 (simple rectangle). This is all the path I am getting for a facing operat...

Re: Version 0.17 release is near
In addition to Josh's comprehensive list, I would like to add the following: 16. When adding a facing operation using tool #1 from the tooltable, the diameter of this tool is disregarded and 5mm is assumed instead. It is also grayed out and thus not changeable. That would be fine if the correct diam...

Re: Hiding Path OPs
Ah, neat!
It was more than a little balky having to deactivate/activate each operation.
Thanks for the tip and thanks to whomever made that improvement!

Re: Pocket 3D does not cover entire surface
I think this might be the same problem that I am trying to point out in this topic: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=24647&p=194100#p194100 . The path needs to mill beyond the border to produce an acceptable surface. Should we report it as a bug or an enhancement request? Che...

Re: Path process/bugs
You are not talking about artefacts in the path object but about the left overs not getting milled due to radius compensation? I mean the leftovers in the corners that are not getting milled because of the radius of the tool, which is just touching the outer boundary instead of milling clear, which...

Re: Path process/bugs
Thanks for reaching out!
I was planning to use the facing operation (50mm face mill) and there you can select the entire part. Pockets have the disadvantage of creating artifacts in the corners. Ideally, the part should not require cutting, filing etc. postprocessing.

Path process/bugs
Hello forum! I am trying to mill the following object: Markering_014.png What's the intended strategy to do this? 1 Face mill the upper step and then 2 face mill the lower step, or 3 pocket mill the lower step, or 4 something else? No matter how I try this, there will be artifacts which I would like...
