Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version

That's expected behaviour. On Mac, the cmake configuration by default looks for the 3DConnexion Framework, and if it's found defaults FREECAD_USE_3DCONNEXION to ON. If it's not found, then it defaults to OFF. By manually specifying to use 3DConnexion when the drivers are not installed, you're essen...

Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version

In addition to providing current Mac OS X builds, we have modified the Mac OS X build process to package the FreeCAD builds as a standard compressed Mac OS X disk image, a convention universally followed by the broader Mac OS X application developer community. Furthermore, using disk images enables ...

Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version

3D mouse isn't detected by the new build on my work computer either :(. At any rate, I don't think this should block the CI work on Mac (which is awesome, thanks guys!). Will try to have a closer look at the 3D mouse issue, but I'm probably not going to have much FreeCAD time for a couple weeks. -I...

Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version

Great! Thanks Bruce! IMO, sgrogan can manually upload these builds to the pre-releases of the FreeCAD repo for now. If you do this, sgrogan, put a note saying it requires Mac OS X 10.9 or greater. A couple things: 1. It would be convenient to have the app in a folder for people that keep multiple v...

Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version

A new Mac OS X 0.16 pre-release that includes all changes from the main FreeCAD repo up through git commit 64a20a8 is now available that should also provide support for 3DConnexion mice. If anyone has a 3DConnexion mouse, please confirm that your mouse works correctly with this build. For reference ...

Re: 3Dconnexion on Mac OS

So I finally managed to get my SpaceMouse Wireless working! Running MacBook Air 2011 Core i7 with OS x 10.11.2. Hope this helps others to get their SpaceMouse working. Jonathon, nice! We are working to institutionalize continuous integration builds on Mac OS X here http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewt...

Re: How to pad exterior sketch into pocket?

If you want a feature or a part separate from 'Bearing Sockets', then delete the Motor Mount pad and use Part Design/Reorient Sketch to detach the Side Construction Geometry sketch from Pad. @ppemawm - you rock! Thanks for the prompt reply. I have successfully done what you suggested however I had ...

How to pad exterior sketch into pocket?

I am developing a case that holds two shaft bearings that will be driven by a small NA20 motor using a 2:1 gear ratio. I created the bottom case with the bearing cutouts but am stuck on how to place the motor mount inside the pocket for the case. Motor mount sketch on exterior of case - computed usi...
