Re: [v0.17] Dependency graph: Graphviz failed to create an image file

All, I have had terrible reliability with graphViz 2.38 that was crashing all the time as soon as my designs were a bit more than 2 boxes. As I spent a few hours this weekend to finally go to the bottom of the problem and this is the best post that came up in my search I will put my solution for Ubu...

Re: Problems with referencing master sketch

It is good practice to watch the DOFs while constraining. Then you see immediately if something goes wrong even if the solver does not detect it. Thanks for the explanation, that's close from my intuition of how COF works. I'll make sure to pay more attention to that number in the future. Hopefully...

Re: Problems with referencing master sketch

now it it's intriguing to apply another coincidence, but don't do it. You have seen it consumes two DOF and you have only one left. Thanks Chrisb for spending so much time debugging everyone's design :) Could you elaborate on why this is the case and if this is more of a bug in the solver DOF accou...

Re: Sketcher angle constraint feature request

Regarding the second point the description looks much more complex than the usage, if you are thinking about a fusion like angle choice then this has a great usability.

Re: Sketcher does not allow usage of reference constraints

Unfortunately, this will make an already much too long Sketcher Constraints toolbar even longer, with marginal use cases that aren't used by 90% of the end users. I think that to avoid the multiplication of buttons, maybe thinking about a more "intelligent" measure tool that adapts to the...

Re: Designing simple organic shapes

Good day Kefir, you should have a look at the video on how to model a hook (kind of appropriate :D ) by Christoph here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=36&t=28112&start=10 It's more of an organic shape than a hook, you will have to use sweeps and lofts, body first then add the e...
