Enclosure for Velleman Super Stereo Ear
I was in need of an enclosure for a Velleman Super Stereo Ear (actually four of them), so I took the occasion to improve my skills in Freecad a little bit. View1.png.jpg I first modelled the pcb as is, then I enlarged some key geometry to have some clearance in the finished enclosure. Secondly I mod...

Re: (Sort of) RC Car wheel
Hi, thanks !
I'm just a beginner, as far I can understand, Freecad has the possibility to actually show complex nurbs, but lacks the tools to create and edit them. So far I'm trying to model car bodies in Blender, using a STL export of the model car internals as a guide.

Re: Paid FreeCAD work.
I fully agree about object visualization: that's the reason why in many workshop drawings there is an isometric view of the part too. Saul is facing the same difficulties I would encounter in my area: depending on the workshop, the machinist may not be trained to 3d cad, or paid for it, they may not...

Re: Paid FreeCAD work.
Hi, Maybe they can just feed DXF into there machine and the magic is performed for them with barely any input from the operative, I don't know. Actually it may be just the opposite: machinists I know would love to see a clean 2d representation, with dimensions and tolerances, but won't even try to e...

Re: pyBar
Hi, I'm a bit rusty at this, but the real difficulty is to determine the torsional moment of inertia for non simple sections. Maybe the FEM module could be used to numerically evaluate it. Anyway I'm interested on the work beeing done here, at some point I would like to integrate Frame3dd.sf.net in ...

Re: Part Design
