Re: Updated Part Design 0.17 documentation
The wiki pages can be printed to .pdf's; see menu on left side of page.
Then you can .zip them and e-mail the .pdf's and although there will be connection charges it will be quick to send/receive and they can be browsed without be connected.

Tony, that shape probably is more like a circle or circles or arcs or even splines. So rather than tracing with line segments try some orher shapes.

Ray Tracing / Render
I am trying to use rendering with Lux renderer. I have read what I have found and have the renderer rendering. Now, I want to render with chosen materials. I may just need to be pointed to the documentation. What I found indicated that a materials selection could be made from the menu bar; I can't f...

Re: Change the plane of a sketch
Thanks Norman.
I was putting points waaaaay out there but still in the plane. I changed to a face view (seeing the plane edge on) of the plane and tried to place a point above the plane and it wouldn't.
Thank you.

Re: Change the plane of a sketch
Today I created lines that are not in the sketch plane and Sketcher accepted them. Returnng to my part and received errors. This was not unexpected but it made me wonder if sketcher should limit point creation that is not on the sketcher plane. Any thoughts? Maybe sketcher should snap points to the ...

Re: Documentation
Thanks for the reply Norman. I think the place to begin is to design a framework for the documentation: Topics of contents, process for adding content, formatting, ... . Also, identification/classification of the uses and users of the documentation. Design for referencing other resources outside of ...

Documentation
I have found that the documentation seems a little fragmented. Maybe it is just me but when I go to look for a specific topic I sometimes find it hard to gather what I need. Recently, I wanted to study lofting and the documentation seemed out of sync with the software (.17). Another time I wanted to...

Re: Sketch with Two closed faces won't attach
That helps. I have been trying to describe the necessary conditions in terms of points, lines and faces and i may have it: if i can pass from (an inside of) a (closed)face to another (closed) face without being in either face at some point then it is not valid. Is that as concise and precise as i ca...
