Re: feature: general initial value and body source, to be tested
I can add more document, in that case, doc will be much long than the code, what is why I think it deserves a page. I will do another top up tomorrow thank you

Re: feature: general initial value and body source, to be tested
If you think necessary, A in-source documentation should be added to the class ConstraintGeneric to outline how to use this class, or add those doc into freecad wiki directly? I prefere in source. But more important would be a real use of one of the constraints. ATM there are two new constraints wh...

Re: feature: general initial value and body source, to be tested
Rebase after stop for a while is kind of disaster to me :). I may add a bit in-source documentation then I hope to PR. BodyAccelation is a quite useful constraint. it can let FEA simulate linear acceleration, centrifuglal. It modelled after Ansys Mechanical https://studentcommunity.ansys.com/thread/...

Re: Feature: add extra FemMesh mesh file export format, potentially usable by other solvers
I will have a look, it may take time to restart on that branch, as fem_gmsh have evolved a lot since then.
For fenics_ mesh, it was too outdated, should be removed.

Re: feature: general initial value and body source, to be tested
two branches: https://github.com/berndhahnebach/FreeCAD_bhb/commits/fembodyconstraintqing your branch with some rebase errors reverted. https://github.com/berndhahnebach/FreeCAD_bhb/commits/fembodyconstraint completly rebased and all commits squashed, only bodyconstraint changes. Would you give it ...

Re: feature: general initial value and body source, to be tested
Would be great. BTW: I have renamed all PythonFeatures in FEM, but did not renamed the dev branches. It will still work, but before merge we should rename them too. check femobjects and femguiobjects and femviewproviders directory. I can do the renaming if everything else works fine. I have renamed...

Re: feature: general initial value and body source, to be tested
Thank you, I pull upstream master, the checkout my fembodyconstraint branch (left over in Feb, have not rebased to upstream master yet) then I pull your fembodyconstraint. I would expect no conflict, but I found still some conflict. I also have feeling, my git status, show lot of added files, (shoul...

Re: FEM vs CFD vs CFDOF
CFD almost hints finite volume method to solve fluid problem, there are more models for Finite volume methods, that is why CFD and FEM are seperated in FreeCAD, as other simulation software.

How can I use this opencascade PPA on Ubuntu
Dear there, I have been using freecad ppa to install occt 7.x for years. Recently, my experience and also discussion on cadquery, occt 7.3 has some bugs that are fixed in occt 7.4. I wonder how easy it is for freecad ppa to use occt 7.4. I thought I had compiled freecad with occt 7.4 without problem...
