Re: FreeCAD Ship Workbench Official Thread

Hello, I'm with a new computer, which allows me to use the latest version of FreeCad V0.20.1, which I find spectacular. Uff much progress since V 16!!! only that it is much more complicated to start with. I'm going to the specific point of my post: Ship workbench : Why doesn't appear the tool "...

Re: How much interest is there to integrate LibreOffice into FreeCAD?

Fantastic topic!!
Will be a great integration from OpenOffice to the part or assemble. For example apply Cubic spline equation for search intermediate point desired in the model!

Re: Python & C++

In my ignorance in the field of programming, since I am only an applicator, I must say that thanks to this dialogue, some improvement will be made to the FreeCad program in the near future. I think that with these improvements it will be possible to run Ship Workbench with a better performance than ...

Re: Python & C++

Well,
For Ship Workbench the view resolution mus be 0.01% but the performance is so poor. at .1% the buttock lines have no good resolution. In a C++ Software the resolution is good and the performance is good too.

Ok,
Right now has better performance with minor view resolution:

It's very enlightening and telling where some of the major speed bottlenecks are

Re: Python & C++

My settings are much different from that. I use 28.5 degrees and 0.5 deviation. Maybe you can try a more granular setting until the very end and set it back to your preferred settings. I know that but the resolution is so poor. That is not necessary, that is insane. No wonder that the performance i...
