I am not getting the same message in the expression result. No further warning either.

Bance wrote: Mon Mar 11, 2024 6:12 pm Isn't it because they can cause cyclic dependency?
The end result, at least in my example, is a fully constrained sketch. If you create a feature or close and reopen the sketch there is no further warning. So, it seems like there is no problem.

Re: Sketcher: Using named reference constraint in expression?

If you have a named reference dimensional constraint in a sketch and attempt to use it in an expression in the same sketch, there is a warning that this is not possible. Seems to work OK here but there is a warning that there are "partially redundant sketches" during the sketch process. B...

Re: Local LCS in Part not Attached

adrianinsaval Hmm...maybe not as much as you think Aargh...is there any other way to reference a datum in a body at the Part level other than Assembly4 Import Datum? It seems that the latter has been broken by the latest Windows weekly V0.22.0dev.36331 or sometime after V0.22.0dev.36166 as shown in...

Re: ASM4 - Yankee_Differential_Cardan - Progress

I just found there is a problem on the latest version of weekly 36331 under Windows. I can indeed confirm. Please see the attached simple example. If you import the Body's point at the Part or Assembly level it loses its placement. Perhaps Zolko can tell us if this is an Assembly4 problem or if it ...

Good catch. Try to come up with a simpler example so we can submit a bug issue if @Zolko concurs. I will download the latest weekly and confirm.

Re: Using Points for Part Location in Assembly4

Try as I might I haven't got the thing to synchronize. Among the many other aforementioned problems with your files, you have two additional: 1. The crank is 90 deg out of phase with the sketch. Add 90 deg to the expression. 2. Somehow the the triangle is 134 deg out of phase with the sketch. Add 1...

Re: Local LCS in Part not Attached

I didn't explain that clearly.....My issue now is to shift the LCS from inside the Body to being inside the Part. For there I can access the LCS for positioning in the Assembly. But how? I understood what you want to do. Select the datum in the body. Use the Assembly4 Import Datum Object tool in th...

You could try contacting user @un1corn via PM. He has built many of Julius' engine models.
