Re: Illegal storage access...
The problem on bindings made by SWIG is that the Swig compiler uses every public methods of the library. There fore it will break on the slightest interface change. So we have surly wait till someone port Pivy :( We can than include both Pivy version in the FreeCAD code base until Pivy exists as pac...

Re: Constraints and Parametric CAD in FreeCAD
For me its not the questions of the approach, its mainly the question of code. I've a whole bunch of papers around that topic and a lot of em propagate the graph method. But I never saw implementations. We need especially OpenSource ones (GPL or better LGPL). If you not able to put your hands on an ...

Re: Constraints and Parametric CAD in FreeCAD
Hi, the "old" Sketchflat is by far better then all the rest. SolveSpace extend more in 3D but thats not the way I want to do it. In my opinion there are 3 Levels: 1 Constraint sketch 2D 2 Parametric associative Features 3D on Document/Part level 3 Constraint Assemblies with ODE BRL CAD is ...

Re: Constraints and Parametric CAD in FreeCAD
Hi Yoh, to answer some of your questions. Ive research years now for a OSS constraint solver. And there was nothing interesting until Sketchflat. The most ones you listed have looked at long time ago and there are not suitable for a CAD system. We will use Sketchflat code for our sketcher component....

Re: How to use the sketcher?
Hi, yes, the sketcher is the undergoing effort to integrate the sketchflat solver into FreeCAD. I did in the past a lot research to find a OSS constraint solver for sketches and failed to find a decent one - till sketchflat! As you guys allready saw the code goes in the sketcher module. The solver i...
