Re: Fix/edit edges of existing chamfer with error?
Hi! In the future, to avoid getting into situations like this, you should keep the gear as a separate object, and never link to any subelement of any object that has that gear as its part (like attaching sketches to its faces). So you should do all the work on the shaft first, and then fuse the gea...

Fix/edit edges of existing chamfer with error?
I have a model built on a InvoluteGear that is a basic bearing shaft. I wanted to change the gear ratio and when I did so, the entire model didn't recompute. For some reason, I needed to remap all the sketches to their respective faces, etc. but I have one Chamfer that I am not able to fix so I am l...

Re: FreeCAD model between Linux & Mac OS X
@peterl94, The results of additional testing is that I have confirmed that this modeling problem only occurs when the Part Design Preference - automatically refine model after boolean operation option is enabled (as a noobie, I had enabled it during one of the Part Design tutorials). The boolean ope...

Re: FreeCAD model between Linux & Mac OS X
Hey, I just tried your file with your latest build and I didn't see any problems. I also tried copying the shaft and helix to a new document and recreating the sweep and cut, and it still worked fine. So do you always get that problem, or is it only with this file? You could try renaming the config...

Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version
I think six is a separate package and is a dependency of matplotlib https://pypi.python.org/pypi/six I had some wonky lib issues when installing matplotlib using pip so I switched to the home-brew port. I don't purport myself to be a home-brew expert but Six should be installed too according to the...

Are the lib versions so old because they are using Ubuntu 12.4?

Re: Mac pre-release download way behind Windows version
The build seems good except it has matplotlib issues again: >>> import Plot Traceback (most recent call last): File "<input>", line 1, in <module> File "/Users/tuk/Downloads/FreeCAD-2.app/Contents/Mod/Plot/Plot.py", line 44, in <module> raise ImportError("matplotlib not ins...

Re: 3Dconnexion on Mac OS
Can you try the build downloadable at https://github.com/bblacey/FreeCAD-MacOS-CI/releases? Is there a way to see which cmake switches were used to build the binaries? Mac OS X build 0.16_pre-19fd2c3 includes ian's 3DConnexion changes in commit eb5ec62c and the here is the TRAVIS build log Would be...
