Re: placement task dialog tutorial w/ audio

It looks like the option to automatically add a new video to the playlist puts it at the end regardless of currently selected default sort mode. I will disable that option since it's easy enough to add a new video to the playlist while it is being uploaded. (assuming I do not forget to do it) On the...

Re: [Macro] Remember active workbench by tab

I'm not sure it's possible to have 2 different Inventor views of the same document (without deep modifications of the code) ??? Did I understood correctly ? When I experimented with your macro yesterday I did this: 1) open Part workbench, create a cube 2) create a new view from view menu 3) switch ...

Re: Revolve Along Curve

Consider also using a torus primitive in Part workbench. See video #6 on my youtube channel for an example of using it. I believe your model can be done using primitives, such as the torus, cylinders, and boolean operations, such as cutting and fusing.

Re: [Macro] Remember active workbench by tab

Attached a macro that will remember which workbench is used on each MDI tab. Excellent work, as always. Would it be useful to create a new view when switching workbenches? Maybe using a modifier key to indicate the user wants this, example hold down Shift key while switching workbenches to indicate...

Re: placement task dialog tutorial w/ audio

Can you fix the order of the videos as well. It seems they were added to the end. Thanks again for the feedback. I've gone into youtube settings and changed the playlist default sort order to sort by date published (newest) as opposed to sorting by date added to the playlist. Let me know if this so...

I added your playlist to the video tutorials page. It seems to me you are missing video 04 and 13 in the playlist. Other than that, it looks like a pretty gentle introduction for beginners, so good job.
Thanks. I've added those to the playlist.

In this video I show how to use the relatively new features provided with the axial spinbox, apply axial button, and selected points button.

If you attach your file someone can have a look and maybe tell you in more detail what to do. From the way I read your question I think maybe chords constructed with construction mode line segments could work.

Re: How to Copy Placement Data to another Part

I'll risk getting told its wrong again, but you're right... that would not work as a macro. It does from the Python console, "by hand", which is how I used it... because I just don't know of any "copy Placement" Gui operator. Yes, I could have made that clearer! Your comments about useless import a...
