Re: [Investigation/Benchmarking] The use of CuPy over NumPy where applicable

Progress Report 2: Repeated install steps on Win10 box but also needed to upgrade the NVidia Driver (which I thought the Toolkit did but apparently not). Hardware used for benchmarking: Intel i5-6400 @ 2.70GHz 16Gb DDR3 memory GTX 1050Ti with 4096Mb GDDR5 memory Same benchmarking as previous code ga...

Is there any way to connect a button in the preferences with a python function? I didn't find any example.
Is the CfdOF Wb Preferences > Run Dependency Checker what you're looking for as an example? https://github.com/jaheyns/CfdOF

Re: [ Regression ? ] LinkPathArray 'Mis-Behave' ? - Carpenter Center

@vocx, thanks for the advice. I've tested a variety of files from both late 2019 and mid 2018, all is working correctly from what I can see.

Re: Add ons manager - development and bugs topic

I have one question. I need to maintain a collection of user defined package sources, it is not only a list of urls, it is a full json file. I can Maintain it in a real json file inside UserAppDataDir but i can also use App.ParamGet and put the json content inside a String parameter. Which approach...

[Investigation/Benchmarking] The use of CuPy over NumPy where applicable

I've done a few searches and cannot find an instance where in the past someone has investigated the use of CuPy where a NVidia CUDA card is available as an alternative to NumPy, is my search criteria flawed? On a preliminary check I can only find 13 Python files that have import numpy in them but I ...

Re: Path Code Style Guide

I found the discussion of CuPy interesting. I wonder if there's any place in Path where a GPU dropin replacement for Numpy might be interesting. I'll start a new thread in Open Discussion as it relates to a few core Wbs and I wouldn't want to go over old ground if @Yorik or someone else has spent t...

Re: Path Code Style Guide

Whether you agree or disagree with the narrator's code structure, he does provide some IMHO good concepts about information to be provided, docs etc and yes you can ignore the specifics relating to Blender but I still found it useful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8KsNVE6KJs
