Re: Sketcher auto generate constraints
Sorry, I detected the post not until today. 1. You have to comment the line using the # sign as first character in the line. 2. If you take the sketch as downloaded, you will not be able to process it further. The sketch may have only one closed loop, otherwise you will not be able to create an ext...

Re: Sketcher auto generate constraints
Hello RDA, I can confirm the problem. It happenes, because your file is too big. Looks like the number of constraints, which can exist in a single sketch has been exceeded. So we have two possibilities: 1) You cut your sketch into two sketches and connect the sketches again after running the macro....

Re: Selection coloring
Hello and sorry is this in the wrong section as Im not sure where it would belong. Would it be possible to change the behaviour of the selection coloring to exclude shine? If you have a part with shine in it, its very difficult to see what has been selected and what not. In the toolbar there is Dra...

Re: Assembly3 preview
Im 100% I have read about parts "reorienting" randomly but I cant for the life of me find the post anywhere. Well the issue is that sometimes (randomly, means cant pin point how) when doing assemblies and adding a new part the whole assembly "flips" to match the new parts coordin...

Re: New project : 5-axis CNC hotwire foam cutter running GRBL
As mentioned in https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=24, most parts should be made from foam using hotwire foam cutter, so I need to make cutter first. Coz we have FreeCAD and construction profile, this is not a problem  https://i.ibb.co/dmqD6QR/010.png https://i.ibb.co/nMTGkdP/009.png...

Re: Sketcher auto generate constraints
Please have a look at: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-macros/blob/master/Sketcher/SketcherFixAllPoints.FCMacro This macro has been created to auto generate constraints in sketches imported from dxf. Maybe I am using it wrong in someway but here were my steps: 1. Open dxf 2. In draft WB select s...

Re: Sketcher auto generate constraints
You can at least configure in the preferences to create the coincidences on import. Thanks, this would be heplful but cant seem to understand. So there is an option "Create sketches" I assumed this would import the dxf as a sketch? Not for me atleast, lines come still as shapes. Then the ...
