Re: Travis build failure

@howetuft Thanks for taking a look and providing a more in-depth analysis. Yes, i guess this is exactly what the drive behind the PR was. GCC 9 therefore is able to detect such coding practices and as such can contribute to writing better code. The problem with Eigen could have already been addresse...

Re: Are unit-tests enabled on travis-ci? Is this segfault normal/expected?

Is it possible that the clang build is controlling the cache? When I'm logged on to Travis there is a single cache for master/release/PR. There isn't a clang cache, gcc cache, windows cache. It looks like windows has a different build directory but as far as I can see the build directory is the sam...

Re: Travis build failure

Often, when a new compiler release is made (GCC and Clang), release notes mention benefits, such as more verbose and useful output for detected issues ... Anyway, we could use newer version of compiler(s) on Travis, done here: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/2743 Now, as for Clang 9, that wo...

Re: AppImage help is gone (was working before)

Hi @__Vinz__ Unfortunately previous two attempts didn't yield results, there is still a quirk involved. Will go for a third attempt, when the time permits: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD-AppImage/issues/25#issuecomment-527961997 P.S. Currently the only advice i can give you is to delete the foll...

Re: DraftSight 2019 no longer free

@Joel_graff and @carlopav Yes, basically document objects are rather resource heavy. That is in use cases, where a lot of (2D) geometry is involved. One could use a single document object, to put more geometry in, like compound. But then you don't have the ability anymore, to use Draft tools on indi...

Re: Are unit-tests enabled on travis-ci? Is this segfault normal/expected?

Do you have any thoughts running FreeCAD -c vs. FreeCADcmd? https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/blob/master/.travis.yml#L280 I guess currently both should work, therefore not really sure, on what is better. And if having unit tests, involving FreeCADGui, on how much sense that makes and if such test...

Re: Call for team! Reimplementing constraint solver

A small report on progress. Base classes for geometry and constraints are up, with just one concrete geometric thing and one constraint implemented (point and distance). This should be enough for initial experiments on solver. OK, taking a quick look at the code, i guess already with Python API inc...

Re: [Discussion] Preparing for the upcoming v0.19 release

It would be nice, Ubuntu 20.04 being a LTS release. I guess it comes down to App::LinkGroup and decision if it should be a part of the FreeCAD 0.19 release, or not. If yes, somehow i feel the release won't happen before April 2020. P.S. Best to wait and see, on how things will evolve in the followin...
