Yes indeed, fast and simple. I like that kind of stuff!

Re: BOLTS Open Library of Technical Specifications

Thanks for the fast answer. Close to the borader line. There are no technical reasons for putting imperial or more complicated beams into a different file, there are even some against it. Splitting requires duplication for the base geometries (i.e. the python functions), ... Does it mean if there ar...

Re: BOLTS Open Library of Technical Specifications

Johannes, thanks for the "fish can" http://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=5575&start=10#p45864 I'm gone adapt that one for the ibeams. Regarding file names. Would it be a good idea to call the files ibeam1 or ibeam_european or whatever? As I sad, I have some imperial beams as well. The da...

Re: Part Fillet in python

May be one of you guys could bring light in my darkness or point me to some documentation. I'm using the simple Topo example. That one is copied for Topological Data Scripting and some nice solid is created. from FreeCAD import Vector import Part V1 = Vector(0,10,0) V2 = Vector(30,10,0) V3 = Vector(...

Re: Part Fillet in python

But you don't need to make it a face, if you set the option to make solid "true" then Part Extrude will create a solid from the wire. ... Thats true for the GUI extrusion and works well. Could this option be set in python as well ? It would be the easiest soulution. :) From what I read on the topol...

Re: IFC browser

Ahh, cool just tried it on a few files. Since there is nothing available on Linux except an editor it could get handy if working with ifc-files on linux. It really takes some time until a file gets loaded. I like the icons :)

Re: Part Fillet in python

I'm gone miss something with the Part.makeCircle Draft.makeCircle As soon as I use one of these I'm not able to create a face which I could extrude. I tried to use the Draft Workbench to create the ibeam as well from FreeCAD import Vector import Draft h=270 b=248 tf=32 tw=18 r=21 l=1000 PLF = [Vecto...
