Re: New Raytracing Workbench for POV-Ray
Currently this is not supported, but the HDRI tab is nearly finished and I think, this is an important feature; I will add this soon :) Please let us know when you publish it. On the other hand it would be interesting if in the future you support the material and multi-material properties of FreeCA...

Re: New Raytracing Workbench for POV-Ray
Hi, since FreeCAD objects support materials and textures through the Arch texture workbench, I would like to know if this workbench allows exporting such texture already configured in the object. See https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njp61PWWotE
Thanks

Re: Parametric modelled Vs Direct modelled Vs Synchronous technology
Very interesting is the example of direct editing. It would be appropriate to have some workbench to design pieces under direct editing. I think that combining part, draft could be achieved. I hope there are several interested in this type of modeling.

Parametric modelled Vs Direct modelled Vs Synchronous technology
Hi, let me open a discussion on 3D modeling technologies. Parametric modeling has long been the forerunner of several programs used in the industry. But I have been looking at some sites and researching about other modeling techniques or technologies and it seems to me that parametric modeling as we...

Re: Organize various cuts in sheet [Arch Nest]
Here is a free application to test https://deepnest.io/ maybe its source code could be useful to improve freecad. See https://github.com/Jack000/Deepnest/tree/master/main

Re: Organize various cuts in sheet [Arch Nest]
If I've noticed it's been a while since it's been updated. I'm sure there must be several algorithms out there, even for organizing 3D objects in 3D spaces, like boxes in a container that travel on ships. Hopefully this task will be taken up again for algorithm improvements, I think it's very import...

Organize various cuts in sheet [Arch Nest]
Hi, I have a sheet of wood that I need to make several cuts from. I've seen that Arch Nest https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/blob/master/src/Mod/Arch/ArchNesting.py can organize various objects into a sheet that functions as a container. The problem is that this tool doesn't allow you to put a sepa...

Organize various cuts in sheet [Arch Nest]
Hi, I have a sheet of wood that I need to make several cuts from. I've seen that Arch Nest can organize various objects into a sheet that functions as a container. The problem is that this tool doesn't allow you to put a separation between the objects and I don't think it organizes them in the best ...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench
Hi, I have a question. When I import a part into Assembly4, I would like to know if two or more restrictions can be applied at the same time. Imagine that with one point the parts are centered but there is 360º mobility in all axes, if you put a reference line and a point or three points then the pa...

Incorrect geometries when exporting part to ifc
Hi, I just posted a thread on https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=45698 but maybe I should have posted it here. Please some moderator, I could move it. Thanks
