From "My Computer" type %appdata%/FreeCAD
you will see user.cfg and system.cfg in the directory. This is the right one on XP.

Yes you've guessed my case. I'm not ready to critique the results until i better understand how they should look I'm a microwave guy and my understanding is by analogy.

Before going to the toolbars tab in customize, go to the macro tab and add the macro. Then the macro will be available in custom toolbars
