That was easier than I thought. I did accommodate that edge case, but a logic bug prevented it from working. Bug is fixed and single-tangent alignments are now supported in the dev branch. Please note that horizontal alignment editing is still a WIP and is, generally, broken.

You are right. There is a problem with alignment that only include one element. Maybe Joel can solve this. Anyway. I have a workaround. I added an arc to your alignment. It imported without any error. I added my alignment and freecad file to attachment. I'll take a look. Shouldn't be a difficult fix.

I do, too. It's a brilliant way to interface with the FreeCAD API. I only wish I could do most of my work with them. They are the cross sections of the road. They are perpendicular to alignment and they are represent the surfaces at given coordinate and direction.
