Re: Add angle dimension to hole centres
How to add the angle dimensions? Liberal application of center lines will help. dimension-hole_angles.png Also I'm confused about the dots displayed for the holes. I expect four (or six) dots to represent the holes. The right hole has only two dots, the middle hole has way too many. Maybe I'm doing...

Re: "Box Selection" in a 2D Techdraw drawing
I managed to "Box/rectangle" select multiple dimensions so I could handle them at the same time, but I've been unable to reproduce this. There is no code in TechDraw to implement rubber band selection. The only way I know to select multiple items on the page is ctrl-select. In the tree you can do t...

Re: Problem with the view of an engine assembly
The three bodies in itself are ok and TechDraw produces good views for all these. The problem arises when I make the assembly with A2Plus and try to draw it. If I use directly the parts from the tree as source for the view, all will go well. On the contrary, if I use the SympleAssemblyShape as sour...

Re: export PDF techdraw template too light
When i export to PDF the drawing and annotation look fine but the template format (i.e. svg) lines are real light. They are barely visible when in pdf. Line width for the template is controlled by the "stroke-width:0.35" clause in the style attributes of the SVG code. This did not change between v1...

Re: Problem with the view of an engine assembly
Anyway, none of these, taken individually, gives problems with TechDraw: I already made the draws of them without problem. Nice model. stp files are of very limited use in diagnosing FreeCAD problems. Ideally I would like the component FCStd files (before import to A2P) as well as the A2P output as...

Still no luck. I think those links only work for you.
When I make a link for others on my dropbox, the url looks like this: https://www.dropbox.com/s/tmnar7cal9na5 ... 1.png?dl=0

Can not get files from these links. Did you do the "create link" process in Dropbox?panda1967 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 5:30 pmhttps://www.dropbox.com/preview/Public/ ... e=personal

US Customary is terrible. I don't know why we keep it.hobbes1069 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 30, 2020 7:53 pmRight now I have it on "US Customary" but the problem is I want all the dimension in inches, but I'm getting feet, and on longer dimensions yards.
Imperial Decimal is inches only.

and then found TechDraw. I am able to add dimensions now but it seems I have no control over the units! . What aspect do wish to control? Re: Can you control how elements overlap in Techdraw?
Ohhh. I found the solution. Moving the elements in the tree view panel to the top of the page. Generally, stacking is in creation order. I didn't know it was possible to move tree entries about like this, except for into/out of Groups or Bodies. Can't recommend this practice. When I do it things fa...
