Re: CADCloud and FreeCAD 0.19 Links - Assembly demo

The code is upstreamed into https://github.com/opencomputeproject/CADCloud .... this is still work in progress and proof of concept, but I start to like these new features. reading from https://github.com/opencomputeproject/CADCloud: In any cases your model will be saved on the server side through ...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

What is the corect method on adjusting the relations? Should I edit the parts LCS so that they are offsetted for parts to mate or should I offset stuff in assembly? hum .... not an easy question. The most reliable is to place the LCS where it belongs, with the correct angle, and attach a part direc...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench

With both variants I am unable to set the LCS_0 entry to one of the vertices. I can select the vertex but I am not able to select an "Attachment mode" What is it exactly that you are doing ? What buttons are pressed, what menu functions called ? Do you mean LCS-1 (rather than LCS_0) ? If you mean L...

Re: Assembly4: XLink absolute filepath problem

But I can't figure out any way to FIX the links. I really wouldn't even mind manually editing the link paths and pointing them to where they should be... but for the life of me, I can't seem to find a way I don't know whether Asm3 links are different from standard App::Links, but for standard App::...

Re: New project : La-9 (rc warbird) for 3D printing

Also usefull - Draft Upgrade / Draft Downgrade, Curves Join edges in BSpline. In long story, there are number of "shell reconstuction" was done. For example for vert...

Re: New project : La-9 (rc warbird) for 3D printing

New design of radio controlled airplane - La-9. Wingspan: 1.4m Nice. What's the scale ? I'm beginning to work on a FockWulf 190 at 1/10th scale, span = 1050mm, and ideally I'd do all the warbirds at that scale. Next-up will be the Spirtfire. Now shell is done How did you do it ? What is the wall th...

FreeCAD cannot use Cyrillic letters for names
I'd like to clarify (I'm not a programmer): is it a FreeCad problem and not an Assembly4's?
FreeCAD internal. Actually, I think FreeCAD can only use ASCII characters for names, because it can't use accentuated characters either: é&àöî...

Re: Assembly 4 workbench--Organizing the Model Tree

Please see attached for the Parts and Model trees. It's difficult to argue anything else than some of these things should build a sub-assembly (main-rotor, tail-rotor ...) and included as such. What I mean is that the Parts object is already a group, therefore if we make a sub-group in this group, ...
