Re: Building Part 'remembering' previous actions!

A BuildingPart is different from a Std_Part. The way you have set up your model would have worked fine had you used a Std_Part which has its own local coordinate system. A BuildingPart does not, the elements inside it are still positioned relative to the global coordinate system. When you move a BP ...

Re: Building Part 'remembering' previous actions!

I'm struggling to see why an expression (and it does the same thing for just a distance) doesn't make sense. You have put an object inside a BuildingPart so that it moves together with other objects. In principle this should work. Move the BP 2m up and the roofs follow. But wait: now the expression...

This feels like a bug
The Z of Roof001 is controlled by an expression. This explains the behavior you are seeing. The expression no longer makes sense if you want to nest the roof in a BuildingPart.

To add units to an expression you can do something like this:
<<Roof>>.Heights[1] * 1mm

Dynamic property: leaving out group prefix is confusing?

You can add you own properties to objects: Dynamic properties . They can be created with or without the 'Prefix group name' option. With that option the name of a property may be NameOfGroup_NameOfProperty , without that option it may be NameOfProperty . The problem is that properties with both name...

Re: Help with "Error" in Tree view

I would say there is nothing wrong with your model. You have even applied the fillet last, which is to you advantage now. What you are seeing is a variation of the Topological naming problem . Changing the radii of the cylinders results in a recomputation of the model and as a consequence certain ed...

Re: adding help to Freecad .19

I have upgraded to the version listed below but still all I have to do is copy the 2 files: freecad.qch freecad.qhc to the doc folder. But at least Qt assistant is now running for you. Have you tried following these instructions: Register_the_Documentation ? My version: OS: Windows 8.1 (6.3) Word si...

Re: [ Bug ] gui_snapper: only a single face of solid can be Center snapped

Perhaps the problem Is somewhere else... Well, that is often the case with code. Here the root cause of the issue is this mod: V0.18 # active snapping comp = self.snapInfo['Component'] if obj.isDerivedFrom("Part::Feature"): # applying global placements shape = obj.Shape.copy() shape.Placement = obj...

Edit: because comp Is a string!
Well, yes: en is an integer derived from a string. But that does not explain the bug.
