Re: Unfolding Complex Shapes

I want to understand and at least give some ideas about what is failing with the algorithm. Unfolding complex shapes is essential in boats, ships and aviation manufacture; clothing and shoes mold development among others. someone know where in the Freecad Git those called functions are located? You...

Re: Manually install Plot workbench

I'm trying to install "Plot" workbench into my FreeCAD-0.19. Due to the internet limitation, I couldn't install it through Tools/Addon manager. Some workbench can be easiy installed manually in Windows 10, like the instruction shows: https://wiki.freecadweb.org/How_to_install_additional_workbenches...

Re: Manually install Plot workbench

Plot workbench was hardly maintained in recent times, so you may well face some errors concerning new versions of Python, or other libraries. I added a way to use traditional matplotlib plotting recently. And I don't think there should be big issues installing the plot-wb in recent builds of freeca...

Re: AppImage - Include auto-updating logic in to appimage directly?

3. Notice how it adds -revised-on-2020-10-15T07-34-32 smack dab in the middle of the file name. This issue is back. Current Appimage is called FreeCAD_0-revised-on-2020-11-16T12-40-29.19-22960-Linux-Conda_glibc2.12-x86_64_fcaf41c59221c60632073bfc9be2d03f I tried to solve this by creating the appima...

Re: AppImage auto-update

If you have to - you have to, it's a pity. It was cool. Thank you for the explanation. ;) For more information look here: https://forum.freecadweb.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=44324&start=90#p440289 I removed the erroring line, so this should be fixed in one of the next appimages: https://github....

Re: FC Gear Workbench bevel gear strange result

I'm glad that some of the information I provided has been of use to you. I'm very happy I seem to have convinced you about the location of the pitch diameter! Genuinely I am sure this will improve the bevel gear module. ok I added a possibility to introduce changes in a way to not destroy designs d...

Re: [WIP] conda: vtk9 / occt7.5 / python3.9 / boost1.74 migration

laceholder for tracking the migration to new versions of vtk / occt / boost and other libraries. I think to work on this during the wintertime. So 0.19 release should be with older deps (not doing this mistake again and update deps during release is happening). Nice! Does nglib survive the migratio...

Re: FC Gears: Feedback thread

The comment I got from Thyssen-Krupp is: Profilverschiebung / Addendum modification xm2 = 2.0 But I don't know what the 2.0 unit is. The module is 4: is 2 the half of 4 (thus shift 0.5) or is it an absolute value, or something entirely different ? The closest result I get to the actual design is wi...
