That's what my question was about: what material/printing technique you ordered.
Oh, I get it. You mean FDM vs. SLA and others. I never looked but I think you already determined it was FDM.

Re: Custom Box For Electronics

What technique did you use for printing? Uh... Now you're using terminology I don't understand. :D I just used FreeCAD to design the box and lid, then exported to an stl file, then uploaded that to ShapeWays, verified that it looked like what I wanted, then told them to print. Did I miss something?...

Re: Custom Box For Electronics

Looks really nice. How was this produced? Looks like some kind of sintering... How much did it cost? Yes, as I said, I am extremely happy with the results. Especially with the first design from a complete noobie who is often clueless. I'm not very cost sensitive to low cost things like this, ...

Re: Unable to Fillet

Correct me if I'm wrong. Your wrong. :) Do some searching and you will find hundreds of post, fillets are to do last, and do the least possible, and start with a small radius. There are many ways to design without them using sketches. This is typically one thing that can crash FreeCAD. These work u...

Re: Custom Box For Electronics

Here are some pictures: Inside of box: Looks exactly like the design. Posts to support the PCB with extensions on 2 sides and walls on the other 2 sides to capture the PCB. The wall on the south side is to hold the RF module with slots to allow wiring to run anywhere. The RF module has too little ma...

Re: OK, I'm Stuck... Complete Newbie

I used file-merge and put the box and lid in the same file (attached), not sure if that's what you wanted. Normally a complete box would be two bodies, box and lid in the same file because the fitting of the lid is so intergrated with the box. Thanks freedman. That's one of the things on my "have t...

Re: OK, I'm Stuck... Complete Newbie

I said I wasn't going to post here again, but I just posted my design to the User Showcase.

I am really happy about how my box turned out.

Thanks to all of you!!!

Custom Box For Electronics

I posted to the help forum as a complete noobie and got tons of help from lots of people. kisolre recommended I post my design here, but that was after I had sent it out for printing. So here it is anyway. The box is for an existing custom PC board. I need access to a USB connector as well as 20 pin...

Unable to Fillet

Hi, I've seen lots of posts on filleting. One thing I have not determined is if conditions exist where filleting could never work. I'll assume that this will never happen. Correct me if I'm wrong. Yet, I don't see anything that prevents filleting. As a test, I created a part with circles, all connec...
