Re: New Raytracing Workbench for POV-Ray

I like it very much. Much better then the render addon.
Use it for quick renders while I am designing. I use CadRays for the final result.

Re: Assembly3, A2plus, Assembly4? Get united!

Sure. It's free software, so the code is there for anybody to maintain and keep alive forever. And that is a giantic bonus. I kept some older versions just to be able to use my designs in the future. The problem, as you know is that you get what you pay for. You don't pay anybody for the software, ...

Re: Assembly3, A2plus, Assembly4? Get united!

Gentlemen (said in an AvE voice), Somehow this turned into a dick measuring contest. That is totally not productive (when it comes to CAD software). Differences are what defines a free society. Let people believe whatever they want, you can try to sway them to your point of view but you do not have ...

Re: Assembly3, A2plus, Assembly4? Get united!

communal intelligent design is a much better way to go than uncoordinated and in-commensurable evolution. I am very happy to learn, from one of the postings, that all authors are speaking to each other and are moving forward. That is the great spirit that is called Open Source. Didn't mean to stir ...

Re: Assembly3, A2plus, Assembly4? Get united!

The OP made a post from the heart. I totally agree with him. 1) Would be really nice when the developers would unite and make one assembly together. Would lift FreeCAD to the next level and make it a much more serious design software. The fragmentation caused by all the different approaches to the a...

Re: Assembly3 preview

@realthunder Wow, after trying all the assembly workbenches and being stomped by how strange they work, today I found by accident your Assembly3 WB. Finally a WB that is written with the end user in mind. I never got the other assemblies working, but with yours it was easy. I have a long history doi...
