[invalid] making number of recent documents customizable in the preferences

When dealing with assemblies one quickly have a dozen files open and one wants to jump to these documents. It annoyed me that I see only 4 last used files. I had a look at the code and the number 4 is hardcoded. Before I give it a go, I ask if it OK that I try to make a PR to make this setting custo...

[solved] LinkTransform creates link at the wrong position

I have a sphere primitive that I would like to create a link for. Since the link should be at the same position than the sphere, I 1. create a link 2. then I set in the "LinkTransform" to "true" But then the link is still not at the same position than the original: FreeCAD_7sAopfbHJF.png Testfile: L...

Re: [Part] Thickness with Tube object cannot be cut

You used Face1 for the Thickness of the tube. That is here the outer face, perhaps due to different OCC versions. I don't know what thickness is supposed to do in such case. What do you expect? The thickness operation is correct, the cut operation fails. Here is a more simple file containing only t...

[Part] Thickness with Tube object cannot be cut

I want to perform a cut operation on a tube on which I run a thickness operation. This fails. I tried out other part primitives and they all work fine, only the tube object cannot be cut. Here is my example file: Boolean_tests.FCStd Try to make a cut of the "ThicknessTube" with the Cube. Cutting the...

The latest currently available binary in FreeCAD Github download page seems to be v0.19.22988
At least once a week there will be a new version, sometimes even two times a week.

I did not find time up to now. Now the patch is already merged and now it looks correct again:

I tried, but when I compile, I get a linker error:
Stuff from application modules have nothing lost in the core system!
OK. I think I can unveil the feature I programmed this evening. Then it becomes clear what I am doing and I am curious to hear your opinion and technical proposal.

PropertyPartShape* prop = dynamic_cast<PropertyPartShape*>(obj->getPropertyByName("Shape")); TopExp_Explorer it; it.Init(prop->getValue(), TopAbs_SOLID); I tried, but when I compile, I get a linker error: Clipping.obj : error LNK2019: unresolved external symbol "__declspec(dllimport) public: class ...

Does it matter if they are on the marked or custom made?
If they exist in the norm add them to the tool.
You are right, I added them now all in the updated PR: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/4058

In this PR I also fixed a further bug with the tapered angle settings.
