Re: pivy again

There is probably one case where you need the current camera orientation which is only accessible with the viewer stuff from sogui. If you want we can add this directly to the FreeCAD viewer class.

Re: pivy again

Aha, that's the problem. All what you need to do is installing the swig package and rerun ./configure. This checks for the existence of swig and sets some defines which are checked in the FreeCADBase module. So, * install swig * make distclean * run ./configure * make * You'll be happy :) (I hope) I...

Re: pivy again

This problem seems to be related to soqt. By default the successor quarter is loaded and not any more soqt. I wasn't able to force to load soqt instead of quarter. Doing some tests only using coin stuff (no sogui) still works fine for me.

Re: Help

Hi Ken, don't worry about the version number mismatch. The file revision.m4 is not under version control and gets created when starting the script autogen.sh. The number 0.9 is hard-coded and only the revision number is extracted from the svn repo. The version number you'll see in the console or Abo...

Re: Export DXF

Hi, a general solution could be to get the parameter range (u_min, u_max) of the curve and depending on the wanted accuracy use a certain number of parameter values of this range. Then for each u value simply calculate the point on the curve. From this set of points it's easy to get the polyline. A ...

Re: Could not load saved file

Hi Bene, this is a very lightweight demo application to check whether loading is working or not. #include <IGESControl_Controller.hxx> #include <IGESControl_Writer.hxx> #include <IGESControl_Reader.hxx> #include <STEPControl_Writer.hxx> #include <STEPControl_Reader.hxx> #include <TopoDS_Shape.hxx> #...

Re: pivy again

Hi Yorik,

do you have the swig package installed on your system? When building the FreeCAD sources do you find the file swigpyrun.h under src/Base?
For me it seems that there is a mismatch of used and needed swig interface file?

Re: Could not load saved file

Hi Bene, as far as I can see this is an issue with the OpenCascade library. It tries to load a B-Spline surface from an IGES file and crashes then. Does this also happen when saving your test shape as STEP or BREP? If you only create a simple box (which definitely has no B-Splines) does this work fo...

Re: Could not load saved file

Hi Benedikt, I wanted to answer on the Debian mailing list shortly. The one bug with the missing slash was easy to fix. While fixing it, however, it showed me another bug in the drawing module which is also fixed now. The bug we're talking about here I wasn't able to reproduce it. I got an e-Mail fr...

Re: run error

Hi, xerces: sounds like an issue on Gentoo. Get more information at http://bugs.gentoo.org/259408 (where another app runs into the same problem) Qt: Does the trick solve this issue? http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/debian-26/session-management-error-could-not-open-network-socket-287176/ Werner
