Re: Is there any API for use using C ?

Hi @shawon58

I don't know much about Pharo. Likely the answer is no or it depends. In general if you are prepared to involve Python instead of Pharo, then the answer will likely end up being yes.

Re: FreeCAD Logo Design

However, as I was reading through the topics, my enthusiasm was a bit damped. Apparently, oftentimes new fellows attempt to change the logo..and all the veteran developers here seem to have started to laugh these attempts off as "Annual Logo Design Challenges". Not one really seems to care about ch...

Re: FreeCAD Website Design

Hi all, i am dropping a line here and lets see if something interesting will come out of it. We had a bit of discussion here already: https://github.com/FreeCAD/FreeCAD/pull/3426 Basically, on an infrastructural level, we currently use a lot of services and most of them offer some sort of "FOSS spon...

Re: Discussion: FreeCAD is not ready for 1.0

It is not all that uncommon, for people discussing here on the forum, to have different opinion on something. And it is not all that uncommon, for people to have strong opinion on something. The good thing is, at least when it comes to FreeCAD versioning scheme, it looks like it is perfectly capable...

Re: FreeCAD versioning scheme and possible evolution

Turns out our current versioning scheme has a fancy name (ZeroVer or zer0ver): https://0ver.org/ Basically it comes down to whatever you do, just don't bump the major version number above 0. Inksacpe has just throw in the towel and i guess we could apply for that spot, to get in the Top 10 list. ASC...

I managed to properly compile and it did pass the tests now. It's up to the devs to decide now. I hope it gets in.
Congratulations!

Re: Cube menu

1. Font selector work well now, even Chinese (CJK/DBCS) font family name can be choosen and saved in "user.cfg". 2. I see "Hilite color" has been replaced by "Hilight color". Thanks for testing and providing feedback. 3. As for names of "Front color" and "Back color" ... Don't see a big issue here,...

So A2plus stops calculation if deviation of position and angles are both better than 1e-5.
Would changing this to 1e-7 introduce much higher solving times? As a while back i was dealing with some tolerances in FreeCAD and generally speaking 1e-7 is likely a sane default choice.

Re: Which processor for FreeCAD i7 6 core vs. i9 8 core

Take this with a grain of salt, but I read somewhere Apple might be thinking to switching to ARM, and the future of OpenGL on Apple devices is a bit moot. From such point of view indeed it makes sense to buy more performant hardware today, as you will likely end up using it for years to come, at lea...

Re: FreeCAD 0.19 AppImage

As for this thread. I targeted the release for April and hence i more or less have done all the tasks i planned to do. As for the issue, you will need to be more verbose: Each of these images was of a different size, but both did not open on download. After you have downloaded them you did make them...
