Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?
Many thanks..so it means we first find the critical forces in the rods (normal forces ?) under the different load cases and then use these forces as input forces for a separate FEM simulation of the nodes...as far as I understand..
so....maybe we could use Thomas Gittermast concept as a first level approach to find the critical rod forces and then go to a separate FEM node simulation with these data..to do, whatever is possible, in FC-FEM...

Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?
Yes that is the approach as I see it however I am not an engineer so will wait to see what the engineering experts have to say. Thomas looked at my first node model a couple of years ago and he did say it is quite a complex exercise.cad1234 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 01, 2021 12:46 am Many thanks..so it means we first find the critical forces in the rods (normal forces ?) under the different load cases and then use these forces as input forces for a separate FEM simulation of the nodes...as far as I understand..

Here is a link to the LISA file as promised a much bigger model than what I have posted above. Bear in mind I think I broke my frame but you should get the drift of the workflow/approach from it.

Hi,
i don't have a problem with the english posts, but you are at the german forum... Would you please post with a german trenslation at least.

The uploaded LISA file “Final Lisa Node Analysis_7.12kn_on_12,6,1.5_frame..xlsx” appears to be a spreadsheet file about the Simu results.
LISA and Mecway cannot open them, they need *.liml file format
If you still have them ...? is otherwise also OK
I was mainly concerned with the basic procedure to get as much as possible in
FC / FC-FEM and be independent from other programs...
Die hochgeladene LISA Datei “Final Lisa Node Analysis_7.12kn_on_12,6,1.5_frame..xlsx” scheint eine Spreadsheet Datei über die Simu Ergebnisse zu sein.thschrader wrote: ↑Tue Jul 20, 2021 4:48 pm Hi Laurie, I am sure you remember this

It should be possible to use the tower simulation from this thread as a starting point
for the spaceframe. That means: we use the FreeCAD-FEM workbench alone.
When every load is concentrated in the nodes of the spaceframe it should work
(no beam bending, axial force only, no hinges needed at the nodes)
But: meshing the nodes is a problem

Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?
