FC-FEM-> Simulation von Stabwerkskonstruktionen
Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?
….genau im Verhälnis der Flächen Ad25/Ad12.5=4 fach zu hoch..
habs nur zufällig gesehen...

Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?
crazy, it has been this way for years and no one realized it is wrong. But no one uses these calculix beams.
even more crazy ... it seams CIRC section is defined by diameter and PIPE section by radius

Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?

Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?
Many thanks Laurie!!
It works and it is great.
Thomas made some great simulations).
( see link, for everyone, who is interested in)
Vielen Dank Laurie!!

It should be possible to use the tower simulation from this thread as a starting point
for the spaceframe. That means: we use the FreeCAD-FEM workbench alone.
When every load is concentrated in the nodes of the spaceframe it should work
(no beam bending, axial force only, no hinges needed at the nodes)
But: meshing the nodes is a problem

Re: FC FEM → Simulation Knickverhalten?

Code: Select all
doc = App.ActiveDocument
len = doc.CantileverLine.Shape.Length
iyy = doc.CrossSectionFace.Shape.MatrixOfInertia.A22 # Iyy
force = doc.ConstraintForce.Force
from FreeCAD import Units
ym = Units.Quantity(doc.MechanicalMaterial.Material["YoungsModulus"]).getValueAs("MPa")
w = force * len**3 / (3 * ym * iyy)
w # should print ca 149 mm

252 mm stimmt nun ...
